The Climate Change Foundations: Net-Zero Transition Open Course from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford aims to inspire you to understand your role in addressing the climate emergency meaningfully, from a systemic, organisational, and individual perspective.

You’ll be introduced to the need and urgency for radical change by exploring the current and future problem landscape. The course also covers a range of levers necessary to activate change, including economic system change, business model innovation, future-focused policy-making, and collaboration. Throughout the course, you are encouraged to reflect on opportunities for collaboration and the importance of prioritising your own resilience when facing the climate emergency.

To continue developing your expertise in this area, you might consider the full Oxford Leading Sustainable Corporations Programme as a next step.

It encourages a rethinking of traditional business models by exploring how companies are moving beyond a pure profit focus to embrace shared value creation and incorporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into their operations. As part of this, you’ll study stakeholder engagement and learn to balance shareholder value with societal and environmental impact.
